The first round of the playoffs got underway at Majestic Springs Golf Course Saturday. And there was a lot of movement going on in the standings.
In the Nicklaus Flight, Dave Johnson grabbed the win with a 3-under 68, good enough for a 3 shot advantage over Michael Bowen.
In the Palmer Flight, Harry Bradley was the overall flight winner with a 1-under 70. However, Bradley did not qualify for the playoffs but will receive the trophy for his flight win. The playoff flight winner was Charles Felts who will take top honors in a one-hole playoff with Matt Berry. Felts’ bogey on #2 was good enough to secure the playoff win.
In the Hogan Flight, Frank Kilgore picked a great time to notch his first tour victory. The Daytonian shot a 5-under 66 and edged James Crockett by a stroke.
