Bill Ellingwood Memorial Results - Lassing Pointe

August 24th, 2008 · No Comments

Before we get to the results, thank you to all the golfers who got in the closest to the pin and skins at Lassing Pointe.  We raised $235 for the American Stroke Association in Bill Ellingwood’s name.  Because no CTP markers were put out by the course prior to the round we drew winners of two Reds tickets for upcoming games.  The winners were Karsten Klint who will receive tickets to Friday’s game between the Reds and Giants and Rob Highley who receives 2 tickets to the Sept 5 game against the Cubs.  Tickets will be in the mail on Monday.

In the Eagle Flight, Chris Mulligan survived a 4 hole playoff with Darin DePew to capture his first win of the year.  Both Mulligan and DePew finished regulation at net 72.  Mulligan’s par on the 4th playoff hole seeled the deal.

In the Palmer Flight, Bart Krebs won for the 2nd time this season with a -2, 69.  Rich Lakes, gunning for back-to-back wins and Joe Redmond came in a shot back tied for 2nd.

In the Hogan Flight, Tony Corona survived a long round to finish two shots better than Chris Flinn and Debby Lakes at net 67 (-4).  It was Corona’s first career OVGA victory.

In the Trevino/Lopez Flights, Debby Lakes took home top honors with net 69.

Next week is the Highlander Cup, the season’s final major at Stonelick Hills.
