OVGA Amateur Golf Tour

The OVGA is venturing into the professional ranks for the first time with the Dream Factory Pro-Am scheduled for Friday, October 10 at The Links at Grand Victoria.  The event will target 30-36 pros to play alongside 90-108 amateurs. 

Price to play in the tournament is $150 for a single amateur, $125 per person for a group of 2 amateurs and $100 per amateur for a group of 3 golfers.  Each group will be paired with a pro to complete the foursome.  Proceeds from the tournament will benefit The Dream Factory, http://www.dreamfactoryinc.com/.

The pros will be playing for a cash purse while the amateurs will be playing for prizes.  Low gross wins for the pros and the amateurs will team with the pro for a low gross / low net event.  So you know you’re getting 18 holes of golf, but what else?  All participants in the Pro-Am will receive a continental breakfast before the event, lunch and dinner.  Snacks/drinks will be provided on the course as well.  There will also be contests (skins, CTP, hole-in-one, etc) as well.

Following the golf, there will be a dinner and silent auction held at the resort.  Additional dinner guests (wives, friends, etc) can come to the dinner for $35.  Grand Victoria is offering rooms on the Thurs. night 10/09 before the tournament for $69 and Fri. night 10/10 (the day of the event) for $99.  Grand Victoria will be hosting a skins game on Sat. 10/11/08 for those who want to get some more golf in.
