In the Nicklaus Flight, the wait is finally over for Tom Camacho.  The Macho Man shot a 5-under 67 (net) to beat John Davis by a stroke.  Camacho has won on the OVGA Tour before, but never in a main flight stroke play event.  He couldn’t have picked a better time to put a check in the win column than in the season’s third major.

In the Palmer Flight, one name is becoming readily known with the top of the leaderboard…Dan Furlong.  What else is new as Furlong captured the Palmer Flight by 2 shots over Matt Berry.  Furlong’s 6-under (net) 66 marked the 5th win of the season for Furlong and his second consecutive victory.  Berry has finished 1st, 3rd and now 2nd in the season’s 3 majors and is the leading candidate to win the GolfTEC Primetime Player Award for best player in the majors.

In the Hogan Flight, another player is making winning a regular happening.  Mike Greivenkamp won for the 4th time this season and claimed his first major championship with a 2-under 70 (net).  Paul Hay finished a shot back in his best career finish.

In the Trevino Flight, Dan Furlong captured the “Seniors” championship with a 1-shot victory over Tom Camacho.  Mike Greivenkamp finished 2 shots back.

In the Lopez Flight, Phyllis Bare won her first major in the women’s flight with a 2-shot victory over Debby Lakes.

The tour heads to Circling Hills on Saturday to get the regular season’s final month underway.
