Opening Day Lookout

April 7th, 2008 · No Comments

The current extended outlook has 46 degrees with chance of rain on Saturday.  So here’s what this means:If the rain comes in Saturday there is a chance we’ll have to call off Opening Day.  For those of you who played last year on Opening Day, we don’t want a repeat of that.  As we get closer we’ll get more updates out about expected weather and other issues moving forward.  No official decision on the round will be made until 2 hours before start time on April 12.

Should anyone not want to chance it and pull out of the field for Opening Day, please try to do so before 12:00 4/8 which is the deadline to get in.  We only have a few spots left open and will not be adding any more for sake of the slow pace already expected because of the  weather forecast.

If we do play, do not expect to be finished in 4.5 hours with over 100 players on the course at the same time and in cart path only conditions.  It will be a long day and to plan accordingly.  We’ll do everything we can to get the round in and to play as quickly as possible, but we’re asking for you to do your part.

Thanks,

Chad
