Welcome History Goals Benefits Board of Directors
The Ohio Valley Golf Association was organized in November 2003 as a way to bring together those who enjoy the game of golf. The OVGA is a competitive golf tour open to golfers of all handicap levels. The OVGA has had over 600 area golfers tee it up during the first three seasons and an average of over 70 players per event during the 99 events the tour has staged. Current yearly dues are $50 per year to join. Proceeds will go to charity and all members will receive a USGA Handicap! The average green fee for the 2008 will be $48 per round. You pay what you would normally pay for the courses weekend rate + cart. To view event prices, please visit the schedule page.
If you're looking for an competitive golf outlet with a flighted system for all handicaps, pre-booked tee times, a way to track your stats and an inexpensive alternative to other national golf tours then come be a part of THE BEST GOLFING EXPERIENCE IN TOWN... ANY WAY YOU SLICE IT! Welcome to the tour!
Here is what 1530 HOMER radio personality Lance McAlister and Cincinnati Enquirer columnist, Paul Daugherty, had to say about the OVGA:
"What could be better than spending the summer playing golf with friends and being able to experience the different area courses and layouts, while helping a great cause?"
Lance McAlister
"Finally, a tour dedicated to Everyman, a place you can go where par is a concept and everyone is capable of hitting the 10th fairway from the 1st tee. I urge anyone who can 4-putt from 12 feet to give the OVGA a try."
Paul Daugherty

Since 2004, the OVGA has played 99 events at Greater Cincinnati, Northern Kentucky, Lexington, Dayton and Columbus courses. In addition, there is a four-day, off-season Myrtle Beach trip that members may take part in. The schedule for the 2008 season is set with 31 events at 29 different courses. In this way, the OVGA provides a new challenge each week to test even the best golfers as well as giving members the chance to play some of the great courses in this region. Some of the courses the OVGA will play this season include: Otter Creek and Timbergate in Edinburgh, IN, Windy Knoll in Springfield, Moss Creek in Dayton as well as some of the best courses Cincinnati has to offer; including Stonelick Hills, Elks Run, Lassing Pointe and Legendary Run. We are proud to announce that Elks Run Golf Club and The Links at Grand Victoria are THE official home courses of the OVGA with Elks Run host Opening Day in April and the Tour Championship in September.

Another goal of the OVGA is to make a difference in the community through our association with the Dream Factory. Since 2004, the OVGA has raised $25,000 over the last four years with most going to the Make-A-Wish Association. In 2008, the OVGA teamed with the Dream Factory to help more children this season. The OVGA has set a goal of $5,000 in donations this year through the Bucks for Birdies program.
